Suitable for framing

My uncle Mike brought his new camera on vacation and took a bunch of pictures. I've got a lot to share, but this is one of my favorites.

Taking steps three ways...

In my quest to become more mobile (still haven't talked dad into that car yet), I've started finding several different ways to get around...

First I learned how to go up the stairs to get to more places in the house...

Then I found some training wheels so I could run around all over the place...

And finally I decided to try some freestyle, and I'm getting pretty good at it!

♥ Mom ♥

For the first nine months of my life, she was the only one who carried me. She still wants to be the one to carry me whenever she has the chance. She makes sure that I am fed, makes sure that I am clothed, makes sure that I have everything I need to be a happy, healthy little boy. She is the first person I see when I wake in the morning. She is the last person I see when I drift off to dreams at night. We are forever connected in a way that neither time, nor distance can break. I am her son. She is my mom.

My First Easter

Today was my first Easter, and while I really don't understand what it's all about, I know I got to play with some plastic eggs, and I got to get dressed up and see a lot of people too!

I started off my day playing with eggs...

While Daddy and Mommy were upstairs at church, I went to the nursery for the first time. It was past my naptime, but the nursery ladies said that I was the best baby. I was the only baby that didn't cry one bit the entire time. Still, I was at the door waiting when Mommy and Daddy came to get me...

I got my first ever Easter basket!

Then everyone came to our house for Easter lunch. Here I am sitting in my Papa Joe's lap.

My Grandma Bishop even made me my first bunny cake!

I also went on my very first Easter egg hunt last weekend in Georgia, but Mommy left the camera there, so I'll have to share pictures with you when I get it back. I can't believe it, but I'm less than two months away from being one year old!

From past to present...

It's springtime, I can finally get out of all my long pants and long sleeve shirts. These shorts were my Daddy's when he was my age. They fit me perfectly!

Why put off today what you can put off tomorrow?

Here we are, it's the third month of 2010, and I haven't managed to update this blog at all. Sorry! So without further ado, here's what we've been doing:

Experienced snow for the first time! There wasn't much on the ground, but new is new, and I loved it...

Discovered the underside of my crib! Daddy told me not to tell Mommy about the dust bunnies...

Learned to pull myself up...

Saw my second snow. There was a lot more this time...

And I'm crawling too...

Got trapped in a box...

Learned that I like not wearing clothes...

Spent a lot of time on my feet...

Met my new cousin, Taylor Grace...

Got some teeth, learned to make a scary face, and took lots of baths...

and discovered the toilet paper roll...

And to top it off, I had my nine month doctor visit. I weigh 18 pounds and I am 29 inches long! I say da-da, ma-ma, and bye-bye. I wave, I clap my hands, and I even learned to play peek-a-boo with Mommy!

It's been a busy year so far, and as far as I can tell, it's only going to get busier. I'll do my best to keep you all updated. Bye for now!

First Christmas

I got to experience Christmas for the first time this year. What a busy time of year it is! We went to Papa Joe and Mama Lynn's house for our first Christmas celebration (can someone e-mail me some pictures?), then had Christmas at our house with Grandma Bishop and Daddy's family, and then we drove down to Georgia to see Mommy's family and have Christmas with Anma and Papa (I also need pictures from this, Daddy forgot to have fresh batteries in our camera). I think I've never seen so many different people in one week in my life!
